Why can I not launch a course?
Most access issues are related to your web browser settings. Some issues can be identified by accessing the SYSTEM CHECK APPLET.

In addition to these basic configurations, it is a good idea to perform basic system maintenance to ensure that your course runs successfully. Click the corresponding link below to check these additional configurations:

  1. Delete Temporary Internet Files
  2. Delete Cookies
  3. Disable Pop up blockers
  4. Disable 3rd party Toolbars (Remove Google, Yahoo!, Bing, etc.)
  5. Trusted Sites (Add *.csod.com, *.skillport.com, *.skillwsa.com)

How long will each course take?
These are self-paced courses and the time required to complete them will depend on your background, how quickly you read and how much you review. However, you can find an estimated duration of each activity by clicking on the activity details link, then expand Schedule and Pricing to view the estimated duration.

I don't see a course offered in my area. How can I request this?
Click on the title of the course you would like offered. At the bottom of the Session Details screen, click the link with the words "I would like to be notified when sessions at another location or time are scheduled." Complete the pop-up form to let us know of your interest and to notify you when scheduling occurs.

What is the difference between Instructor-Led Training (ILT) and Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT)?
In the system, both are considered Events and will appear in the calendar as an event.
Both are same-time events with participants attending live. ILT is also same place; whereas, VILT will be online via WebEx.

I completed an online course as part of a curriculum. It still shows In Progress.
Press F5 to refresh the screen or leave the curriculum and return. You may also log out and back in to move the course to a completed status.

The course I need to take (instructor-led) is already full. How can I be put on a Wait List?
Click the Request button. You will be asked if you want to be placed on a Wait List Click Yes if you would like to be added
to the Wait List.

When I requested an ILT event I received a message about Exception Tracking. What does that mean?
When you click Request for a course with prerequisites that you have not completed, you will receive this message. You can choose Yes or No. If you choose Yes, the learning item will be requested. However, you will be unable to select a session until these pre-requisites are complete.

Where can I get a certificate of completion?
To print a certificate of completion:

  1. From the Learning navigation, click View Your Transcript.
  2. Click the name next to the desired training item.
  3. Under Training Details, click Print Certificate

Where can I see a list of courses that I am registered to take?
From the Learning navigation, click View Your Transcript.

My manager mentioned needing to complete a Scheduled Task. Where is that?
Click on the Home tab. One of the sub-menu items is Scheduled Tasks. Click on Scheduled Task to see the list of tasks and due dates. Click on the Title of a scheduled task to access Instructions and the Continue link that takes you to the task.

How do I search or browse for Training?
There are a variety of ways to search or browse:

  1. Conduct a keyword search in the Global Search field in the upper-right corner of the learning portal
  2. From the Learning navigation, select Browse for Training.

TRANSCRIPTS

Where can I view summary details for the courses I have completed?
Details about training are on your Transcript.

    1. From the Learning navigation, click View Your Transcript.
    2. Click the Completed tab.

    Why does my transcript show "In Progress" when I’ve passed the test?
    In order to receive a "Completed" status on the courses you take, you must do the following:

    1. Achieve completion of each module of the course
    2. Receive a satisfactory score on the final assessment included in the course

    Taking the final assessment without completing each module of the course (even if you pass the assessment) will result in an "In Progress" status. If this has happened to you, please re-launch the course(s) and complete each course module.
    Items that are the training type Materials (links to documents, videos, external sites, etc.) need to be marked as completed once you have finished reviewing the item. To complete a Material:

    1. Find the item on your Transcript
    2. Under Options, click Mark Complete

    Where can I see a list of courses that I am registered to take?
    You may preview any upcoming training as well as any active training by navigating to the Learning menu and selecting View Your Transcript.
