McKesson developed the Certified Professional in Healthcare Management (CPHM) program to provide professionals with a deeper knowledge of care management that will help them succeed in their roles in payer, provider, and other healthcare settings.  As a leader in providing medical management solutions, we have been offering professional certification programs since 1993, and have certified more than 15,000 individuals.

The CPHM program educates healthcare professionals on the value, challenges, history, legal aspects and recent trends in healthcare management.  It addresses the growing responsibilities of care managers in the healthcare industry from the viewpoints of both the payer and provider.  The comprehensive program covers recent news in the healthcare industry, and delivers valuable insights into:

• U.S. healthcare systems
• Health economics and strategies
• Legal and ethical issues in healthcare management
• National healthcare policies
• Healthcare leadership and management

McKesson offers both instructor-led and self-study approaches to the certification program.  Our highly skilled instructors have clinical backgrounds and healthcare management experience.  Within two weeks of completing the CPHM program, participants take an online exam at the time and setting of their choice.  Test scores are available immediately upon completion, and successful candidates can print out their certificates.
