What's New

Apple Watch

  • This release introduces great new Messages features that make the Apple Watch a great option for messaging other iKnowMed users. These features include:

    • Send and Receive messages from individuals and groups

    • View messages across all your folders

    • Save a message draft composed on Apple Watch to complete and send later using an iPhone, iPad, or computer.

    • Messages containing HTML content can be viewed on another device using Handoff

Usage Tips

  • Support options like Submit a Ticket, Contact Us, and Write a Review have now been moved to the Usage Tips section of the app. They will no longer appear in the More section.

  • Collect Diagnostics will now be disabled by default. Users will be given instructions to share diagnostic information from our support team, should they be needed to troubleshoot an issue.

  • Usage tips for all supported Apple devices may now be viewed from any device. For example, users can now view iPad and Apple Watch usage tips from an iPhone, or Apple Watch usage tips from an iPad.

  • Write a Review has been added under the Usage Tips section, allowing users to easily leave App Store reviews for the iKnowMed Mobile app. Your feedback greatly appreciated!

Handoff

  • iKnowMed Mobile now supports handoff functionality for Messages and Demographics. For example, this allows users to begin composing a message on their Apple Watch or iPhone, and continue this task on their nearby iPad. Alternatively, users may view a patient chart on their iPad and use handoff to quickly bring that patient chart up on their iPhone or Apple Watch to contact the patient.

Shortcuts

  • Users can now add Siri Shortcuts for Next Visit and Patient Search, providing quick access to this information across their devices.

Bug Fixes

  • Apple Watch Sign In UI has been optimized for a clearer viewing experience.

  • Caller ID Warning now works as expected and is respected in the Pharmacy Information set in Demographics.

  • An issue causing unexpected content panel behavior on iPad while in portrait mode has been resolved.

Known Issues

  • User Search and Patient Search on Apple Watch are limited to the first 25 results.

  • Viewing and editing message drafts on Apple Watch will be introduced in a future release.

What's New

  • In Messages, tap a group in the To field to expand and view all individual recipients in the group.

  • Tips screens now scroll to accommodate users with larger text sizes.

What's New

  • When uploading attachments to a patient chart, in addition to capturing an image or scanning a document with their device camera, users can now select images from their iOS Photos library or choose a file using their Files app browser.

  • When reviewing results in the Work List, users are now presented with the results interpretation option as a half sheet and can swipe up to view the text box for leaving a comment.

  • The Release to Patient option has been removed from the Results Review workflow to match functionality changes in iKnowMed Generation 2 regarding the new Lab Results Auto-Release behavior and 21st Century Cures Act compliance.

  • Based on user request and design reconsideration, we have restored the Work List Trends View experience.

  • Usage Tips now has improved Dark Mode compatibility for an easier viewing experience.

Bug Fixes

  • Previously, in the Visit List, some users encountered an error when selecting a new day before the current day finished loading. This has been resolved.

  • When composing a group message, only enabled user groups will display for selection.

  • Users now receive visual confirmation when a message is archived or unarchived.

  • General issue resolutions and stability enhancements.

Known Issues

  • Some users experienced an issue when attempting to archive a draft message. We have removed the option to archive draft messages until the feature can be reliably reintroduced.

What's New

Lab Results

  • Multiple new results fields now available, improving parity with iKnowMed Generation 2 Lab Results.

  • Trends View has the following enhancements:

    • The grid is more seamlessly integrated into the screen layout, making it easier to navigate historical results.

    • The most recent result is highlighted for easier viewing and orientation.

    • Tap and hold an analyte to view details and comments in a pop-up.

    • Improved scrolling animation and rubber banding effect

  • Normal result flags now display in iKnowMed Mobile

  • Contact patients directly from Lab Results. Tap once to call the preferred patient number, and tap and hold to view and choose from all contact numbers.

  • Lab Results in the Work List have been streamlined to make focusing on a single result easier and clearer.

Messages

  • The new Messages widget displays message folders on the home screen. Tap and hold the widget to view a specific folder. Users can add multiple instances of the widget in medium or large sizes to preview multiple folders at once.

  • Users are now presented with a Save or Delete option when navigating away from a draft message, preventing new messages from inadvertently being deleted.

  • Swipe left on messages to archive them. Swipe left on archived messages to unarchive them. You can continue to access these actions and others by tapping and holding on a message in a folder.

  • Messages now show the time sent when viewing a message sent the same day and day of the week when viewing a message sent the same week.

  • Other Messages UI adjustments improve clarity and information hierarchy.

General Improvements

  • Icons and colors are improved in dark mode, reducing eye strain when using the app in low-light settings.

  • Improved Login UI now supports keyboard navigation between text fields.

  • iKnowMed Mobile now supports Adaptive Text in the latest watchOS.

What's New

  • Patient Chart section cards now show the total number of items contained within that section, in addition to the three most recent items in that section.

  • To improve security and privacy, messages may only contain a single patient name in the Patient field.

Bug Fixes

  • Messages in iKnowMed Mobile now respects the Messages permission set in iKnowMed Generation 2.

  • Lab Result comparison views show the correct historical value for each analyte of the original result.

  • Pharmacy information displays correctly in the Patient Details section of the Patient Chart.

  • Copy/Paste functionality has been restored to the Attachment Upload Comment field.

Future Enhancements and iOS 15

This release will be the last to support iOS 14 and watchOS 7. This fall, Apple will be releasing iOS 15 and watchOS 8. If your current devices support iOS 14, they will support iOS 15.

Starting with iKnowMed Mobile 2.3.0, new features and fixes will only be available on devices running iOS 15 and watchOS 8.

Our team has been preparing for these latest features and stability improvements from Apple. In the coming months, before releasing iKnowMed Mobile 2.3.0, we'll share a preview so you know what to expect and help you prepare.

  • Messages flagged for follow up in iKnowMed Generation 2 will now show an orange flag icon in the iKnowMed mobile app to clearly identify messages that need follow up.

  • Certain navigation buttons have been more clearly named to improve user orientation when navigating through various screens.

  • When we need to communicate upcoming maintenance or other important information, you will see a notification banner at the login screen.
